The distinctive, high-energy rock band CHUBBY, born out of the Boston music scene, will be releasing their first full-length record, on the emerging New York based independent record label Gigantic Music, in early 2004.

The band - Dennis Brockenborough (guitar/lead vocals), Mike Beck (guitar/backing vocals), Andreas Holmström (bass), Daniel Crean (drums) ~ met while playing in various groups in and around the Boston area. Â Most notably Dennis spent ten years as trombone player and vocalist for THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES, but is putting forward much more of a serious rock vibe as the front man of his new band CHUBBY.

CHUBBY uses a mixtures of crunching guitar riffs, dynamic pop hooks, and haunting anthem-like choruses all delivered with true punk rock energy.
