"The music is a mixture of the long solo elements of the Doors set to the riptide of Joy Division's Transmission with the surf guitar twang of Dick Dale. They are the Coolest Rulers from Scandinavia!"
- David Fricke, Senior Editor: Rolling Stone Some call It Lo-Fi Post-Rock, some call it the Low Frequency In Stereo sound. Hailing from Norway, but with one foot in Pompeii and one in space, the Low Frequency In Stereo is set to released their third full-length, The Last Temptation Of..., via Gigantic Music in the US.
The Low Frequency In Stereo started their first lo-fi post-rock journey in the beginning of 2001, and since then they have released 2 full lengths, an EP, a 7” and have played over 200 shows around the world with highlights being at the Quart Festival, The Dour Festival and SXSW.
The Last Temptation Of... shows the band steppin away from the predominantly instrumental tracks they have created in the past on their self-titled debut LP (2002 / REC90 ) and their breakthrough record, Traveling Ants Who Got Eaten By Mollusks (2004 / REC90). Recorded on analogue equipment to get the classic room sound and mixed down on digital equipment to keep the natural sound sin the mood and instruments, The Low Frequency In Stereo work intently to create the soundtrack to your mind.
